Book Study

If you want to join the book study, we are reading “Good Soil” by Jeff Chu. Amazon has Kindle and Audio versions. Our first gathering will be on Wednesday, July 9 in the Parish Hall. If you wish to come at 6:30pm with your dinner for some fellowship! Discussion on the book will begin at 7pm. To be ready for conversation, please read the Author’s Note, Prologue, and pages 3-100.

Community of Contemplative Practice

Join lay and clergy from St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, we will gather the fourth Wednesday of each month, 6:30-7:30 p.m. First United Methodist Church of Elmhurst, 232 S York St, Elmhurst.

Each meeting will include the introduction of a contemplative prayer practice and time to practice. Between each monthly meeting, members of the community will be encouraged to engage the practice and are invited to develop a relationship with a spiritual friend for support and accountability.
